Is Baxter alive???

The answer to that would have to be yes but barely!!! We have had quite the month. I always thought valentines day was a bad day now I have proof. That sunday Baxter came home from church with flu like symptoms. He was not any better by Wednesday so I took him to the Dr. That was the start of it all!!!
Four weeks later (no school)
3 trips to the pediatrician
1 trip the Children's Hospital ER
7 blood draws
3 CAT scans
1 MRI
Many phone calls
Many emails
Many friends' advice
1 neurologist (in Chicago)
=
an answer!!!! YEAH!!!!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has some problem with his inner ear.
The solution is....

We have gone to 2 therapy sessions so far and have another session tomorrow. Apparently they are retraining his brain. We will keep you all updated on how he is doing.
I also talked to the school and they have signed him up for homebound school. Which means that his teachers will be coming to the house 3-4 hours a week to keep him up to date with the rest of his class. Hopefully my next week he will be able to go to school for a few hours at a time until he gets all of his strength back!!

Thanks to all of you who prayed and showed lots of love and concern.

So what exactly do these therapies entail and what is his problem called? Is it just random or will he have to deal with it awhile? We are so glad that you all have found out what is going on with him!

I'm sorry you and Baxter have had such a terrible month, but I'm so glad you have an answer. I hope the therapy works exactly as planned. Chloe does vestibular therapy too. {{HUGS}}

Emma, I didn't even know any of this was going on. Yikes! Glad they figured out what to do next. So much for the blessings that come with being a bishop's family, right? :)

To do list: PB M&M cookies for the Bruners!
